Technical, structured and focused on operations

Background

I have 22 years of experience in IT application management. I started as a technical application administrator and application packager and grew into a technical (sub-)project lead and project adviser. Since late 2022 I have been working independently as Silvaworks.

Over the years I have worked for 23+ organisations: hospitals and healthcare institutions, municipalities, government bodies and international companies. As a result, I know not only the technology but also the day-to-day reality of operations: interfaces, dependencies, suppliers and the users who need to be able to rely on their applications.

Selected experience

• Technical project guidance of application infrastructure migrations for a hospital in Amsterdam
• Technical project lead for the migration of an international company’s local IT environments in eight countries to one central hybrid cloud environment
• Project engineer and technical sub-project lead for the migration of healthcare institutions and a municipality to private, hybrid and public cloud environments
• Technical application administrator and application owner of critical applications in a hospital
• Technical (sub-)project lead for application implementations and DigiD audits at a municipality

Giving more than we take

The Silvaworks motto

How I work

• Structured – a clear plan, clear agreements and no surprises.
• Transparent – you always know where the project stands and which risks are in play.
• Focused on operations – a project is only finished when operations can take over smoothly.
• Hands-on – no managing from a distance: where needed, I carry out the technical work myself.
